Cascadia Clubhouse: A direct response to a community need

After high school, many adults with developmental disabilities experience a significant shift. Often, they lose the daily structure, personal growth, and social connections that they had found in school settings. Cascadia Clubhouse was created to fill a critical need by worried parents who needed programming for their adult children with developmental disabilities, by social workers who saw an increase in depression and anxiety in adults with disabilities after high school, and by concerned teachers who saw a negative change in their students after leaving school.

Cascadia Clubhouse provides a welcoming and supportive environment, free from the pressures of mainstream expectations. Here, members can rediscover themselves, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships - just have plain ol' fun! At Cascadia Clubhouse, they have the opportunity to create a fulfilling life they can be proud of.
